Today's Mama:::Henry David Thoreau Keeps it Real

For days I've been editing a piece of writing, delaying my *submit for publication* with taps and taps in keyboard's delete.  I can picture the endless swirls of red ink and withdrawing it's ragged edges of notebook paper from a writer's workshop.  My mind was the real problem.  It wouldn't stop spinning long enough for words to fall crisply adjacent to one another.
I have so much to say about how these last few too busy weeks have been.  I've come to a place where I'm finally standing tall as a mama of three and I know exactly what I want to do with my time and exactly how I want to feel in my time.
I keep thinking back to an old friend whose words kept me awake at night in the middle of New Hampshire, in the mid 1990s.

I haven't read Walden in ages, but it might be time for a re-read. Sometimes saying no is the best thing you can do for yourself.

I agree with Tonya.. time for a re-read! I have to learn when to say yes and that its ok to say no.. the perfectionist in me says I can do it all, no problem.. simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!
